Senior Living Costs Explained: Price, Maintenance and Extras
The headline price is rarely the final price. Ask whether it includes parking, club membership, development charges and GST. Stamp duty and registration are normally extra.
Then ask about monthly costs. A senior project may charge for housekeeping, meals, nursing consultations or a care package on top of normal maintenance.
Prices on portals are often undated. Ask the developer for a written cost sheet with today's date, and keep it with your booking papers.
A payment plan linked to construction stages protects you better than one linked to dates. Check which one you are being offered.
