What Is Senior Living? A Plain Guide for Families
Senior living is a home you own or rent in a community planned around older adults. You keep your own front door. What changes is what is shared: a clubhouse, activity programmes, security, sometimes a nurse or a doctor.
It is not an old age home. There, the institution runs your day. Here, you decide how much of the support you use.
Three types are common in Gurgaon: projects built only for seniors, senior wings inside bigger estates, and ordinary apartments that add a few age-friendly features. The label on a brochure does not tell you which one you are looking at, so ask.
Start with these questions: Is there an age rule? Who employs the care staff? What is included in monthly charges? Can I see the registration page for my tower?
