Senior Living Homes vs Retirement Homes: What Is the Difference?
The words are used loosely. In practice, a retirement home usually means a community where you buy or lease an apartment and share facilities. Senior living can also mean that, and may add care services.
Ask three things. Do I own the home? Is care built in or bought separately? Is there an age rule?
Whichever name is used, judge the project by the answers, not the label.
